JAM'S FINAL THOUGHTS: GROWING UP

So for almost two weeks straight, I've been hearing a lot of talk about "Growing up" or "acting your age".  What exactly does this entail?  More so, how can any person on the face of the earth tell another person how to act?  Honestly, it seems as if the ones pointing fingers towards somebody else fail to realize that they are in fact, pointing three fingers right back at themselves...basically making them a hypocrite in their own defense.  Growing up...honestly I don't believe that people can just "grow up".  There has to be something to make that transition happen.  For some people, I would guess that they fail in getting that transition.

As I sit down and write this, I'm at a ripe age of 27.  I've been living on my own since I was 17 and have only been home once when times got rough.  I receive no financial assistance from my parents whatsoever even when I have less money in my pocket then what you have laying in your couch.  Some call it tough love...others say my parents are shitty parents...I say that my parents are neither of those and that I'm glad that they don't help me, because if they did I would not learn anything about life and how to actually live.   Now with all that said, does that make me "grown up"?  to some its a split decision and honestly, it's whatever you would like to choose, however you shouldn't base your opinions on somebody else's life when you should be living your own.
